Adding New Members

Ah – fall is in the air! And, with that, recruitment has begun (or even ended in some cases) for many Delta Zeta chapters. One of the most important steps to remember after celebrating Bid Day with your new members is to add them to your Delta Zeta roster through Chapter Inc., our online reporting system. By entering your new members into Chapter Inc. through the Membership – Actions –Add New Members action, they receive their Welcome to Delta Zeta email. This email message asks them to verify their address, phone and email information, as well as allowing them to add a parent’s email address to their account. They are also able to create their Metro username and password to access Delta Zeta’s private social network. Metro allows them access to the new member program on the Enriching U site as well as their Billhighway account through the My Billing container.

When entering your new members make sure to collect the following information:

• First, Middle and Last name
• Email address 
• Phone number
• Permanent (Home) address
• Pledged Date
• Expected Graduation Date

The selection step (or second step of the action) is where you enter the member’s personal information, as you can see in the picture below (click to enlarge).

Clicking “continue” moves you to the additional information step and you can enter their pledged date and expected graduation date. Make sure that you enter the pledged date correctly! If you accidentally date it in the future, or with an incorrect year, the new member will not be added correctly to your roster. (Click the picture to enlarge)

One more thing - make sure that your chapter’s Vice President of New Member Education has taken one of the webinars on the new member program on the Enriching U platform.
